One of the things that marketing professionals don't tell you is that you really don't need to do as much as you think you do. By simply adopting a strategy of telling as many people as you can, treating each customer with respect, and then repeating this cycle, that's going to bring in a lot of new business. Word of mouth advertising may not get as much press as it once did, but it certainly still works when it comes to smaller home based businesses.

You also want to keep in mind that these marketing secrets don't require a lot of time or a lot of money in order to be effective. For example, selling sporting equipment or products related to sports fans is still a big business. When you work with the team and their product line, you will be able to access thousands of fans who want to support their team with licensed products.
Fashion
Of course, fashion is still a hot seller, no matter where you are. If you can present high quality fashions on your website, you will attract not only the teenaged sector, but also those in their twenties and thirties - of both genders. Look to celebrity and gossip magazines to show you what's hot and what's not and then look for a vendor that sells the same or similar items that you can them turn around to sell for a profit.
Low Price Goods
No matter what you choose to add to your website, if you can sell products available on other sites for a much lower price, you are going to do well. This goes for fashion, beauty, exercise, sports, etc. If you can find high quality products that can be sold at much lower prices, you will draw in many more customers than you could have with higher priced goods. For example, if you can find a way to sell organic goods and clothing for much cheaper than healthy food specialty stores, you can help those that want to be healthier, but can't afford the higher prices of other stores.
No matter what you choose, try at first to think of things that you yourself might want to buy online - chances are good that you're not the only one.

Having a millionaire mind for your business

"Here you go again," says your spouse (or your best friend). "Don't tell me you are trying another home business. Haven't you learned from the last one? Didn't you lose enough money already? Maybe you are just not cut out for it. Why can't you settle for a steady job like everyone else?"

In a split second of self-pity, you agree. The reasoning is logical. After all, you must have tried a dozen home businesses, everything from Amway to zero down real estate. Yet nothing seemed to work for you. Still, deep inside you yearn for more. You refuse to accept the destiny 97% of the population is running toward, retirement in poverty.

The Ultimate barrier

Excuses for failure are a dime a dozen. "My upline never supported me", "the products were too expensive", "the economy just isn't good right now". These and hundreds of others make up the battle cry to justify failure. However the true underlining cause of failure is held within the mind of each individual who utters the fore mentioned excuses.

In other words, the ultimate barrier to success is your own mind. Your mind dictates whether you will succeed or fail in every undertaking in your life. If your mind is prepared and conditioned to accept wealth and success, nothing will stop you from attaining it. On the other hand, if your mind is not prepared, no wealth building system in the world, no matter how good it may be, will pan out for you.

A perfect example is a mail-order business. Millions have attempted them and failed. Yet some have started mail-order businesses from scratch, built the business and within a few short years became millionaires.

Those "lucky" mail-order millionaires faced the same problems and obstacles as all the other millions who failed, however somehow they found a way to overcome. The key difference is the beliefs that were held in the mind. The belief that success was "theirs". The belief that they would find the answers to any situation drove them to continue when challenges came up.

Realize now that belief is a state of mind. In fact, it is a superior mental state that can be developed by anyone. Those who conquer in any business, utilize belief. Those who fail don't. There in lies the problem. One of the biggest mistakes that most people make when they come up against failure is quit and begin a new venture. Instead of looking inside, most people look outside of themselves for the answers. Huge mistake.

Anyone who tries a wealth building system and can't make money must ask one question, "Is there anyone else making money doing this?" If the answer is yes, don't blame the business. It is your thinking that is at fault. Jumping on to the next system will not help. Only by changing your mind will you be able to change your success. Only by adjusting your belief will you be able to achieve what you desire. Andrew Carnegie, self-made multi-millionaire and one of the first advocates of the mind/money correlation said, "Take all my money and leave me penniless and within two years I will be a millionaire again. I have set my mind to attract wealth."

How to use your mind to help you succeed

The following 4 steps process will condition your mind, increase belief and release your creativity. Set yourself up to succeed by flooding your mind with these techniques daily.

1) Set the destination: First and foremost is your decision on a specific goal. Aim high. Dare to dream big. Dreams are important as they set the focus of your subconscious mind. Benjamin Franklin said, "You must first have a dream in order to make a dream come true."

2) Get the picture: Once you commit to your goal, take time daily to mentally rehearse your success in advance. Get a clear picture. See yourself as already having accomplished your goal in minute detail. First sit or lay down and relax your body for five or ten minutes. Relaxation is important because it opens the channels to the subconscious. Once you've entered into deep relaxation, play a movie of yourself as having already achieved your goal. Incorporate as many of the five senses as possible. Find a way to see, hear, smell, taste and touch while running your movie. Practice this twice daily, first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

3) Emotionalize your goal: The fastest most powerful system for mental programming is to add intense emotions to your visualization. A simple way to achieve this is to use music as an anchor. Have you ever heard a song that brings memories to mind? Have you ever listened to the words of a song and felt inspired? Music has an amazing power to create emotions within us. In fact, music also stimulates the creation of pictures in your mind. This is the perfect prescription for subconscious programming. Anytime you can relax, create a mental movie and feel intense emotions, you are taking control of the subconscious. If you are serious about achieving your goals find a few songs that inspire you, songs that create intense emotions within you. Next, make yourself a daily routine to listen and visualize. Treat yourself to a better future by taking five to ten minutes every day to simply relax, listen and see. This is one of the most enjoyable ways to program your mind for success.

4) Snap out of it: A years worth of mental programming can be nullified by a few minutes of doubt. Doubt, insecurity, or negative thinking will destroy your success. You must condition yourself to act first on doubt before it inflicts it's damage. Avoid doubt as if the life of your dreams depended on it. Take charge and destroy doubt. An excellent way to do this is by placing a rubber band around your wrist and giving yourself a snap if any thoughts enter your mind that are contrary to the achievement of your goals. This not only reminds you to maintain a positive mental attitude, it also inflicts just enough pain to get your mind off the thought immediately. A good practice is to replace the negative with a positive thought. Whenever you snap the band, immediately focus on your future success. The key here is to condition the mind to focus on success instead of doubt.

By continuing to practice these techniques faithfully your subconscious mind will begin to take your images as commands. Your belief will grow daily. Things will start falling in place. The people and situations you need to achieve your goals will begin to appear in your life. Solutions to problems will magically appear into your mind at the most unexpected times and places. Your struggle for success will end.

Remember that the keys to your success are not to be found in the next business fad. The keys that will unlock the treasures are held within your mind. You must first see it in your mind's eye before you can see it in reality. Commit yourself to this principle and you will create miracles in your life.

The Elephant Trainers Method to Success

Are you an elephant? When I ask this question during my lectures I get one of three responses. Some people laugh at the question. Some put on a face of getting offended. Others get this confused look.

My purpose is not to make you smile, or offend you. For those that are confused, allow me to explain.

If you have ever gone to the circus you've seen this "elephant trainers" principle in action. By that I mean the huge two-ton elephant shackled by one leg. At the end of the shackle is a small wooden stake dug into the ground.

Hard to believe but true, that elephant is being limited by that short chain and the small stake. Obviously the elephant has enough power to free itself and roam around as he pleases.

Yet the elephant has been conditioned to accept this limitation. You see as a youngster the shackle placed on his leg was able to hold him in place. After tugging on it for a certain period of time his leg became bruised. This created enough pain in him that he stopped attempting his own freedom.

Once he accepts the limitation imposed on him it becomes a permanent belief, or in his case, a conditioned reaction. Now as he grows into adulthood, he has the power to easily pull the stake out of the ground, but his conditioning has taught him that the effort will not only be futile, it will be painful as well.

So again I ask you, "are you an elephant?" The answer is yes. Most of us have is some form bought into some conditioning that is self-imposed and is greatly limiting our lives. We have created our own stake in the ground that limits our achievement. This happens in many different situations all throughout our lives.

Here is what is important. We are not young elephants. We don't have to create or accept these limitations. We can choose to break free. We will soon go through four steps that will guide you in eliminating the stakes that are holding you back. But first lets visit our circus elephant again.

For the sake of this example, we'll call our elephant "Jimbo."

Here is Jimbo shackled to the ground. I'm his new trainer and I want to recondition him. First and foremost, I let Jimbo get hungry. I let a day or two pass without feeding him. Then I get his favorite food and place it inches from his reach. Close enough that he can smell it. Close enough that he is salivating. Next I provide encouragement, "Come on Jimbo. Come and get it." I yell out. I repeat this process until, little by little, Jimbo starts pulling himself to freedom.

What does this have to do with your success? How can the elephant trainers method help you conquer your limitations?

Here are the four steps: 1. Develop your hunger. Desire is one of the key components for destroying limitations. If your desire is strong enough you will become internally motivated to take action.

2. Keep your goals in front of you. So close that you can smell them and you salivate with desire to have them. This again will create the internal motivation to go forward no matter what may be holding you back.

3. Small steps bring huge rewards. Arrange small milestones along the way to the achievement of your big goal. With each tiny effort forward the stake will lift itself from the ground.

This will re-enforce the belief that you can in fact attain your goal.

4. Get a mentor. A mentor is more than just a guide. Mentors encourage and cheer you on. They place the plate in front of you and say, "come and get it." Follow their advice and you will satisfy your hunger. Each person enters this world with unlimited potential. Along the way we bump our heads and stub our toes and we mistakenly create our own shackles to avoid pain.

Free yourself and dive head first into your God given right to be magnificent.

I Knew I Shouldn’t Have Quit That Network Marketing Company!

Here I am sitting at my computer at almost 1 o'clock in the morning working on a giant "to do" list (that I've only got 48 hour to complete) and I can’t help but to keep thinking to myself…
"What If..."
What if I hadn't quit that network marketing company I joined back in 2002, and another the other one I joined in 2004 (you get the picture)
After all I did make money in both of these companies. But the reality is that when things started getting little rough and some of my downline started to leave, I said to myself "oh well - I'll just jump to the next one"

Here we are in 2007 and both of those companies that I quit several years ago are still around and there are several 6 -7 figure earners in both companies. I can't help but think that it could have been me.
Don't get me wrong, I do quite well for myself. But had I just hung on little bit longer who knows how much more success I would have been. The funny thing about success is that quite often it will be attained if you just take the next step. Often you will have to take several "next steps", and more often than not you have no way of knowing which "next step" will be the one where you cross over the invisible barrier to success.
The unfortunate reality is that not to many of us actually have the tenacity to keep getting back up no matter how many times we fall down. 2. Evaluate ANY network marketing opportunity on the basis of these five criteria, in order of priority STRICT:

A. The company and its owner / management

This is the # 1 danger zone, as the 2 following criteria are driven by it. Inexpérimentés management - or ulterior motives, because they are the rip-off merchants - are at the root of most corporate failures MLM, and it happens A LOT more than most people realize. In fact, most corporate failures relate to persons with a history of fraud, including a breach of a court order of previous scams.

B. The compensation plan

Do not assume that ANY plans do not give the part-timer a chance to engage in positive cash flow quickly - and stay there, with a high activity and high retention.

Here is the simple reality that affects all kind of compensation plan in the marketing network:

Real income growth comes from the construction of wide, not deep. What you gain is deep in the construction of the stability and security of income.

The reason is simple: any compensation should come from a wholesale price paid by the company for its products. This award is not open. There is limited. Thus, the amount payable to the network is limited, too.

Gain on the depth MUST be blocked at a certain point, because the money runs out! (Even so-called "infinity" bonus finally get blocked.)

But on the width, the money is never short. It introduces new customers and distributors near your position in the plan ... So you get the benefits that you will never enjoy the depth.

If a plan limits width, it also limits your potential earnings.

Avoid plans binary like the plague. They do not work for part-time workers. Nor do most stair step * breakaway plans. These tend to be oriented to "heavy hitters" ... The EXCEPTIONS to the rule that most enterprises still in place as role models for everyone. And the "new" (they are old!) Unique leg "power line" plans are just plain crazy, once you get past the razzle-dazzle absurdities as "overflow".

Remember the old adage in marketing network? It takes forever (more than ever, in fact) ...

1 = leg cane. Highly volatile.

2 = a ladder legs. A little more stable, but you need to build on something or somebody. No real independence.

= 3 legs of a stool. More stable than the first two, but not completely reliable.

= 4 feet of a table. Stable, secure.

[* Note: Not all of stairs to escape plans are not missed. And not let anyone fool you - ANY type of plan is finally a breakaway plan because the money runs out on the depth. They must be, or the company goes broke - fast!]

Do not be seduced - suckered! -- For fear of your own loss. It will be bad things for the wrong reasons faster than anything else!

This is a very complex area networks marketing and you need to understand the pros and cons and it is easy to fall for the wrong kind of appeal.

C. Products

It is important to have products that will sell themselves. Most people are not willing sellers and do not want to be. The products must be safe, effective and ready for you. (Many companies get it right away.)

When the first two criteria can not be met adequately, the product is usually hyped to the limit, with HUGE emotional appeal seldom lets the facts get in the way of a great story! The "faithful" are emotionally stuck on the products, almost to the point of fanaticism. When challenged about their business plan or reward, they withdrew immediately in an emotional defence of their product, even though the discussion has nothing to do with their products.

Here is the simple truth:

Network marketing is not driven by products! It is guided by the INCOME.

Your company is NOT your products. They are a matter for the COMPANY. YOUR business is a vehicle that delivers the company's products to its target market. The products are nothing more than the PAYLOAD you carry in your vehicle. What feeds your vehicle is MONEY. (Cash Flow is the engine or the fuel for each type of activity.)

Do not confuse the two - no matter what your business or upstream leaders tell you!

If the products were # 1 motivator, why do LESS THAN ONE THIRD of the entire network marketing of the use of their own products?

In most cases, this is because they can not afford it, because the products are more expensive to reward heavy hitters and businesses as well as part-time workers can not even make enough of money to cover their products as a result of the use of punitive compensation plans.

At each seminar or workshop industry I present, I can count on the private sector being approached by people wanting to know if I can recommend the MLM opportunity that will make them enough money to pay their consumption of these products with their company!

(But they are so emotionally hooked on the products they will not even consider the reality of their situation.)

D. The team Upline

This indicator should be almost third priority in my mind. The right upstream team actively and enthusiastically training and support you, will not exploit you or see you as a means to an end. And they do not make most of their money by selling you training seminars, books and tapes!

To obtain an accurate indicator of a team upstream of the actual level of support and commitment, try to speak to members of their downline who have been with the company at least a year or more ... What are they like in the long run? True? Avoid future authors who are long and short on hype, the high and low on the promises on delivery.

E. In training, support and enterprise Building Systems

If your company upstream and the team can offer a powerful, integrated and focused on the results that actually WORKS (and does not cost much, or better yet, free) both online and offline, DON 'T get involved with them.

Success in this business is to DUPLICATION. The problem is that PEOPLE ARE NOT duplicable. SYSTEMS ARE.

No proven system = no duplication = no success.

The Law of Success delivers exactly what it promises - SUCCESS! -- 100% of the time. But it is necessary that the law actually OBEY to succeed.

There is another law that also offers what it promises, 100% of the time. It is the law of FAILURE. It is obedience to the law that you whenever you are not obeying the law of success ... And that most of the time for most people, because that's what we put DEFAULT! Contrary to the law of success, it requires no real knowledge.

1. Do things for the right reasons WRONG.

This is the classic competitive Win-Lose * approach "the end justifies the means." It is selfish, manipulative and deceptive. It undermines and destroys relationships - the foundation of any true, long-term network marketing success!

Too many people all too often jump from one thing to another. Yes, we plant many seeds, but, never tend to the plants enough to see the tree grow results. Instead we see constant failure.

Jump is simply the type of people who jump from fad to fad looking for that ultimate success product, gimmick or opportunity.

Many people have been doing this at some point. You find something which can make you money, and you go after it. You see a winning product you go after it. You even see a woman or man you like and go after them.

Only to soon jump from that to something else as quick as you got in. And this is the biggest sign of continued failure.

Find something and stick with it.

* Law of growth
A farmer has a seed, a field, and water. He/she plants the seed, and sees it through. He/she waters every day. And every day, and it takes time for that seed to sprout. And even longer for you to see a harvest!

A good story to tell of this would be of a Chinese farming family?

He invested a lot of money then unleashed his packages. In 5 weeks he had several hundred people in his downline, and was earning several thousand dollars per month.

But within two years he had dropped out of that company.

Why is this?

It�s because almost none of the people he brought in were able to do what he was able to. So he wasn�t able to help them grow their businesses. (He possibly didn�t have time to help 500 newbies). And since the monthly purchase requirement was $130 in this particular company they soon started dropping out.

The point you really ought to understand is this:

"In MLM, you don�t make much money from making sales -

You make much money from building an organization!"

Multi-level marketing is a great way to make money for those who don't want to make any money. So for those of you smart enough to get in on a ground floor opportunity that's been around since the serpent conned Eve into signing on the dotted line, here are some pointers.

First, be your own best customer. This will make your up line extremely proud (and a bit richer). Dumping all your cleaning supplies, laundry detergent and cosmetics in the trash and replacing them with overpriced concentrate is a sure sign of financial genius What's more, it's important to believe in your product.

Second, make a list of everyone you want to annoy. This includes friends, family, coworkers and everyone in the white pages from the three closest cities. You'll earn a tiny commission off each one you enroll and that, my friend, is worth risking a lifetime of friendships. (Who knows? One of em may be the next big fish for the company. And you'll be the one who caught 'im!)

Third, systematically annoy everyone on your list. Invite them out to dinner. They won't mind being deceived into dining with a room full of brainwashed goofballs while some slickster shoots his power point presentation on a screen in the front of the room. The numbers don't lie. If you enroll eight people this week and they enroll eight people next week who enroll eight people the following week, in eleven short weeks all 6.4 billion inhabitants of the earth will be in your down line including an extra 2 billion from some unknown galaxy.

Fourth, act giddy. Phony enthusiasm is a proven sales gimmick, especially when coupled with idiotic product testimonials. Say something stupid like, 'I cut my arm off a year ago and took some of these here vitamins. And whaddaya know?! My arm grew back. Hairs and all. Everyone in the room will cheer.

Fifth, emphasize the success potential by pointing out the vast number of gullible people who are dumb enough to think they are all destined to be pyramid millionaires. This strategy really works. After all, it worked on you!

Sixth, appeal to greed and rank laziness. Be your own boss, is a nice phrase. Ask your friends if they would like to quit their jobs and work part time for a six-figure income. (Don't tell them that four of the six digits are to the right of the decimal.)

Seventh, use powerful terminology to impress your prospects. Never use words like Multi-level marketing, because someone may get the idea that your multi-level marketing scheme is a multi-level marketing scheme. Direct to the consumer sounds a lot better.

Eighth, project the image of success by buying the most expensive car on the market. Getting in debt up to your glassy eyeballs is a tried-and-proven financial strategy. It will pay off. Someday. Remember, if you want to be rich, you gotta start acting the part. Think of the wealthiest people you know (except maybe Howard Hughes) and start living like them. There's nothing like gross irresponsibility to get you on the right track.

Ninth, tell your prospects about the unseen benefits of owning their own business. Just think of all the stuff they can deduct from their income taxes, like one eighth of their bedroom if they use the corner for a home-office. Yes sir, you can pave your road to riches by wasting long hours for a tiny tax deduction.

Tenth, stay motivated by wasting; excuse me, "investing" an obscene amount of money in motivational tapes and CDs. Someday, when you hit the big time, you too can screw your down line out off thousands of dollars.

8-Reasons MLM Distributors Fail

There dozens of reasons why any one individual might not be successful with his/her network marketing business... or any other business for that matter.

Here are a few that I can think of right off the top of my head:

NOT TREATING IT LIKE A BUSINESS...

Network marketing or MLM is just another method of distribution of a product or service. It is a "business" in every sense of the word. Many new distributors do not realize that all the same skills and dedication to effort, that are required to be successful in any business, are needed in their MLM business.

UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS...

Unfortunately, this industry has the reputation of making it sound too easy. Distributors, in their eagerness to build "any" type of organization, paint too rosy a picture to convince a prospective distributor to come aboard. This is a disservice to the industry, the recruiting distributor, and to the prospect. Experienced and successful distributors do a lot of "sifting & sorting" to find the right prospects for their organization. They require that the prospect jump through a lot of qualifying hoops to become part of the team.

NOT BEING TRAINABLE...

If you cannot, or will not, take coaching and instruction then MLM is not for you. Surprisingly, those with strong professional selling skills are often the worst choice you can make for potential team member. They often think they must "re-invent the wheel" to conform with their selling experience. Your successful upline "knows" how to work your business. Follow their lead and duplicate the already successful system.

POOR CHOICE OF UPLINE...

Your choice of your upline sponsor is critical to your success. Most new distributors give little or no attention to this important detail. If you sponsor is not a good trainer, or is not willing to implement the systems necessary to support YOU... then you have the wrong sponsor. Your sponsor, in the truest sense of the phrase, is your "partner in success". A bad one can stifle your success... a good one can skyrocket your profits and greatly shorten our learning and selling cycle.

If you have a sponsor who is not serving your needs then work upline until you find someone who will give you the support you need...and have every right to expect.

POOR CHOICE OF COMPANY/PRODUCT...

Always look at the product first. If you would Not "willingly" buy the product and enjoy it's benefits... why do you think anyone else would? Marry the product with your own interests and needs. If you are interested in wellness, health & fitness, etc. then select a company who has a leadership position in these product lines. Don't try to sell something you can't get enthusiastic about... and which does not fill a proven need in the marketplace. Never mistake the "comp plan" for the opportunity... the opportunity is in the product. The most lucrative pay plan in the world will not pay you a dime if you cannot sell the product... and the customers do not willingly re-order.

NOT DEALING WITH CONSUMABLE PRODUCTS/SERVICES...

Your success or failure with any MLM will be greatly determined by the "consumability" of the product. If the product is a "one-time" purchase the success of the MLM model is doubtful. Residual income depends on the consumability of the product.

YOUR OWN LACK OF DISCIPLINE & PATIENCE...

No business becomes successful instantly. MLM is no different. You should become involved with any MLM only if you are willing and able to commit a minimum of one year of hard work to the building process.

YOUR UNWILLINGNESS TO COMMIT MONEY & TIME TO BUILDING YOUR BUSINESS...

Building any business requires a certain commitment of time and money to succeed. You must make available a minimum number of hours per week to "work" the business... and you must be willing to invest the money necessary for advertising, supplies, lead generation, etc. MLM is NOT a get-rich scheme, despite the wild claims made by some. MLM PROS � Possible Reasons that MLM Could Be a Great Business For You!

1. Usually start-up costs are low.
2. Many of the highest-quality products are manufactured by MLM companies.
3. You can work it part time if you choose, which allows you to work a job fulltime and work your MLM business in your spare time.
4. You can work from your home.
5. Your business expenses will be deductible from your income tax.
6. You will be your own boss.
7. You choose which hours you want to work.
8. You may develop a small extra income or possibly even a very large income, allowing you to quit your job, or have a great retirement.
9. Your income will be a �residual� income, which will come to you month-after-month, year-after-year.
10. You will have time freedom.
11. You will meet many like-minded people.

MLM CONS � Possible Reasons that MLM Should NOT Be the Business For You!

1. At first you could work very, very hard without making any money!
2. The ease of start-up can cause people to get into several companies, with the mistaken belief that they can easily develop several income streams. This causes a lack of focus and makes the person far more likely to fail.
3. The products could be overpriced and it may be difficult to determine whether they are any better than you could purchase at a discount store.
4. People may look at what is possible to make with MLM instead of what is likely to happen. There are a lot of very inaccurate �get-rich quick� claims out there. When success doesn�t come quickly, a person may be more likely to quit and join something else.
5. It can be very hard to distinguish a legitimate company or opportunity from a scam.
6. Many people do not seem to realize that it takes time and money to build a solid business.
7. Ideally, MLM is based on everyone doing a little bit. In reality, most people don�t do their part, making it necessary for the few workers to work much harder to find any amount of success!
8. The failure rate is extremely high.
9. As in any business, to succeed with MLM takes a lot of dedication.
10. Unlike a job where you may punch a clock or have a certain number of hours to work each day, no one is requiring you to do anything with your MLM business. YOU must be the one to decide to work it, or invest your money into advertising. It takes true self-discipline!
11. Your family and friends may not at all understand what you are trying to accomplish. Hopefully, you will get very helpful support from others, but realize that they may not support you at all, no matter how dedicated you are!

I suppose that both the PROS and the CONS list could go on and on, but perhaps, you see the picture. If you are a person who can visualize some awesome long-term goals for success, and have the dedication and self-discipline to do whatever it takes, network marketing or MLM could provide you some of the greatest benefits you can imagine. If you are going to have a successful home business, you need 3 "intangibles." These are things that must come from WITHIN you.
Intangible 1
First, you must have a strong WHY.
Why MUST you have a successful home business? What is driving you? What is it that you CAN'T have in your life anymore and/or what is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?
For me, I couldn't stand working 12+ hours a day anymore and missing the experience of my children growing up. I also absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control my life and finances through a little box (laptop computer) that I could carry with me anywhere in the world and not be tied to anyone's time pressures or demands but my own. That was my carrot and my stick. I felt a great pain deep in my gut of missing out on my children's lives and the incredible freedom that succeeding in a home business would provide for me. I found my why. You MUST find yours.
Intangible 2
You must BELIEVE that it is possible.
If you don't believe that it's POSSIBLE for you to have a successful home business or make your living from home, you won't. It's that simple.
For me, figuring out that it was possible was just a matter of realizing that many other people were ALREADY making great money working from home. If they could do it, I could too. It would just be a matter of figuring out what those people were doing and then adapting it to my situation.
There is no shortage of undeniable PROOF that people (millions of them) are making money working from home. Just get online and do some research and you'll find countless testimonials and stories of REAL PEOPLE making real money on the Internet. Or head to your local bookstore and you'll find the same documented evidence of this fact. Truth is, it's getting easier and easier to make money with your own home business.
I've always said that "affiliate marketing" (a simple way to make money from home) is the job of the future. In the "old" days, you had to go to a potential employer, apply for the position and hope for the best. Now you can simply go to any company you want, fill out their affiliate application and start work immediately. Affiliates are the new working class. In fact, making money with affiliate programs or making your living on the Internet is WAY MORE than possible. It is pretty much (or will be soon enough) unavoidable now. Affiliate marketing is the "job" of the future that's already here TODAY.

You must be willing to MAKE THE LEAP.
Ready, FIRE, then aim... This is the operating philosophy you MUST adopt to succeed with a home business.
That's backwards for most people who like to aim before they fire. The fact is that home business success is a moving target... The only thing constant about it is change. You need to stop analyzing the game and simply jump into it. You can't learn from the outside... You have to be IN THE RING to truly understand it.
The lesson here is that you will never really be READY to start a home business. You simply have to start one. It's like having children... You're never really ready, but when it happens you adapt and grow. This is what I call "Making the Leap."
The good news is that the cost of failure with having your own home business is very small. In the "brick and mortar" world you need to evaluate things very carefully before you decide to open up a business. I have read book with the title Becoming a Money Magnet. I think that Becoming a Money Magnet is not just about how to make more money, you are only half right.
